The NL Central Division Ballparks digital collection focuses on the history and design of ballparks relating to Major League Baseball (MLB) baseball parks, fields, and stadiums in the Central Division of the National League (NL). The teams (and their respective ballparks) included are the Chicago Cubs (Wrigley Field), the Cincinnati Reds (Great American Ballpark), the Milwaukee Brewers (Miller Park), the Pittsburgh Pirates (PNC Park), and the St. Louis Cardinals (Busch Stadium). Articles and photographs compromise the majority of the collection, with a radio interview and news video also featured.

Goals, Mission and Scope

NL Central Division Ballparks is a digital collection that selects, administers, preserves, and disseminates digital objects relating to the history and design of Major League Baseball (MLB) parks, or stadiums, in the Central Division of the National League (NL). The following teams (and their respective ballparks) are included: the Chicago Cubs (Wrigley Field), the Cincinnati Reds (Great American Ballpark), the Milwaukee Brewers (Miller Park), the Pittsburgh Pirates (PNC Park), and the St. Louis Cardinals (Busch Stadium). The intended audience are those interested in the MLB, ballparks, and the teams and ballparks of the NL Central Division specifically. Born-digital objects found on the internet will be included through the use of hyperlinks, PDF documents, images, and video and audio files.
