About this collection

Art through the years is a collection celebrating the art created throughout childhood.  Within this collection one will find pieces created from many different media types; including images created using watercolor, crayon or maker.  There are images showcasing work done with both modeling clay and fired clay, finished in a high glaze or matted fingerpaint finish.  There are music pieces, done in Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone and Recorder (each of varying lenghts and musical styles).

Art through the years seeks to discover the creativity and exploration of thought as well as the use of art as a means of celebrating the steps of childhood that run to fast into adulthood.  While each piece alone has the look of an amateurs eye; when placed within a collection, themes begin to emerge and it is easy to become lost in a more simple world and time.

Art through the years contains work created by two artists and spans and nearly an entire decade of their lives.  Sonya's pieces span the timeframe from five years old to fourteen years old and Vincent's peices span the timeframe from two years old to ten years old.

It is a strongly held belief that art brings happiness into ones life and it is the intent of this collection to share that happiness which is found in art, exploration and childhood with those who view this collection.
